HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Once again, a big THANK YOU to everyone who helped make 2023 such a success! The calendar should be updated now to include the early part of 2024, so keep checking in to see where you can find my work in person!

I had really hoped to have the gallery updated for the winter, but, alas, it is still far behind. Once I get through the busy first few months of the year I’ll be trying to get that up and running so you’ll be able to see current, available works. In the meantime, feel free to email me and I can share photos. And be sure to follow me on Instagram and Facebook @scottolsonfineart I tend to update those pages more regularly, and will start keeping snapshots of current work posted there.

Thanks again for your interest and I hope we can cross paths at some point in 2024!

About

Hello and welcome to my website! I am Scott Olson and I have been a professionally working artist for over 25 years.

In 1995 I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a Master of Fine Arts degree. In 2000, I started kompression graphics corp. in Chicago, and am now splitting my time between Chicago and the small lake community of Williams Bay, Wisconsin.

Most of my work is created with a combination of various media, including oil paint, watercolor, printmaking (mono print and dry-point), pencil, and collage. I consider the works to be contemporary explorations of traditional themes, including still life and landscape. The work is characterized by bold, colorful shapes and soft, nuanced textures.

If you are interested in purchasing work, please contact me. I do not sell directly from the website, but I will be happy to assist you through email in making a purchase.

Thank you for visiting and for your interest in my work! Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
